The Ashes dates have been finalised and the England team are already half way across the world. Support Straussy and the guys during their games in Australia, with the first starting today against Western Australia, Perth. Let's hope they bring the Ashes urn home in the new year.

The Hampshire Royals will be taking part in the 2011 competition at Lord's on the 21 September. Our county is in Group B, with Durham, Northants, Warwickshire, Surrey, Leicestershire, Scotland.

Cricket legend David Gower awarded doctorate

The University of Winchester has awarded the former England captain, who lives in Hampshire, a doctorate for his contribution in sport, whilst commenting that "It's a recognition of sorts for what has come before."
